WWII Westland Whirlwind Correspondence Lot - 1941 thru 1944

Four pieces as follows: 1) Short (7.75x5") typed message dated 22 June 1944 thanking Westland for a photo of the Whirlwind. 2) Carbon of a 9 Aug 1941 letter complaining about lack of publicity on the Whirlwind. 3) Two page internal Westland Aircraft memo on failure of the Whirlwind tail wheel. 4) Two page internal Westland memo on a visit to 137 Squadron, 6 May 1942, discussing instrument and sight placement during night flights along with a paragraph on a structural failure. Very good with usual minor age wear.
