Brass vintage original, 4" by 1.5", cast text: "Moteur Hispano-Suiza/Construct Sous License" then stamped below: "Type 12 Y 31, PuisCe 860 CV, No. 23143". Danish identifying text on reverse of stiff vinyl card is dated 1939-1945. The 12Y was the primary WWII French engine of 1,000 hp and was used in the Morane-Saulnier M.S. 406 and Dewoitine D.520. This engine was also used in the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia and Switzerland. Very good; mounted to the card with four rivets (not removed because Danish identifying label covers the back mounts).
