WWII AAF Pilot Log Book - 1944

Original vintage WWII pilot log for John E. Johnston.  Log is complete with 35 pages filled in:

1) 65 hours Primary Training in PT-19A,, Coleman Texas, 1/11/44 to 3/6/44

2) 77 hours Basic Training in BT-13, Curtis Field, Brady Texas. 3/18/44 to 5/19/44

3) 110 hours Advanced Training in UC-78, Blackland AAF, Waco, Texas, 6/1/44 to 7/31/44

4) 107 hours in B-24, Fort Worth AAF, Texas, 9/1/44 to 12/19/44

Some minor research included indicates Johnston's WWII service in Italy with the award of a DFC and 9 Air Medals.  This log deserves further research.  Very good condition.
