Vintage original press photo, 8x10", b&w. Original press clipping w/this photo pasted to the reverse. Joy Hancock lost one husband on the ZRS-2 in England, a fiance in a racing balloon crash and another husband in the Shenandoah disaster. After all this, she was appointed Chief of Information Section, Navy Bureau of Aeronautics. No newpaper identified in the article but the reverse of the photo has a stamped date of June 18, 1931. Very good condition.
