Rare Photo Pair of Early Italian Balloon Designer and His Invention - circa 1915

Wonderful vintage identified photo set, one of inventor 4x6", the other of his balloon, 3.25x4.25". On the back of the balloon photo is typed: "New type of Italian Observation Balloon" and on the back of the inventor photo is: "Major Avoria, of the Italian Army, who with Sig. Prassove, has produced a new observation balloon.  the new type is ...".  (As I inspect the Major's uniform, I salivate over his hat and his arm band...wouldn't any collector give his/her right arm for it?)  A wonderful pair in excellent condition; likely unique.
