Press Photo, "Lost U.S. Plane is Found" - 1942

Original real press photo, 7x7".  Lengthy press release pasted to the back explains how an aircraft (likely a PBY) got lost after an attack on the Gilbert and Marshall Islands but the crew and aircraft were rescued after 14 hours lost.  The crew is seen sipping well-deserved whiskey with their aircraft on the deck of a cruiser behind.  Release is dated 18 Feb 1942.  Very good condition.
