Press Photo, "Flying Ambulance for War Flyers" - 1941

Original real press photo, 7x9".  Long press release on the back introduces English actress Gertrude Lawrence and RAF Capt Alan E. Burden, former personal pilot for Winston Churchill.  Lawrence is handing Burden a bouquet to be dropped in New York Harbor to honor fallen RAF pilots.  He is sitting in the cockpit of the new Cape Codder seaplane ambulance that will be used in the European theatre during WWII.  The release is dated 9 Oct 1941.  Excellent condition
