
Vintage original press photo, 8x10", b&w. On the reverse is a small sticker with a cropped photo of this same image, below which is a listing of Collins' pilot hours: 500 Army, 4000 Air Mail, 500 commercial; Total 5000 hr. Collins was a WWI Army Air Service pilot and the first pilot/General Superintendent of TAT airline. He had a glamorous and exciting career, deserving of serious research. Rubber stamps on the reverse from NEA files dated 10/4/1927 and National Air Transport, Inc. This may be one of the few photos of him and it is in excellent condition.
