A 24pp photo essay on the life and work of William Reston Mayfield, a prolific Ohio photographer born in 1896 and passing in 1974. Mayfield was famous for his photos of the Wright experiments at Huffman Praire and other noteable aviation events in Ohio. He operated a photo studio in Dayton for 45 years and was on the staff of the Dayton Daily News. This piece measures 12x14", is on newsprint, and has well-known Mayfield photos on every page but two which is a biography of Mayfield's work. Very good with usual newsprint toning. Pictured is the top half of the front page, below which carries the inscription and autograph of a dealer in photographic antiques.
