German "Puce de Mer" (Sea Flea) - 1926

Original 10x8" b&w press photo of this most unusual aircraft. A design by Ukranian engineer von Gasenko, it had very short wings and was not designed to fly in the conventional sense. Instead, it was to "hop" over the waves much like a sea flea. I run into strange and wierd flying machines but this "takes the cake". Underwood and Underwood press release pasted to the reverse. Very good; one corner chip.
