Fort Crockett Landing Field Galveston Photo - circa 1925

B&W 9x7" aerial shot of a small landing field with one large hangar, 5 aircraft and 5 autos parked nearby. Strange excavations across the road from the field sure look like sand traps on a golf course! On the reverse in pencil: "Landing Field, Ft. Crockett, Galveston, Texas"; also light glue remnants. Very good condition. In the negative far lower left corner: "23"; most likely another 24th Photo Section, Brooks Field photo used to train pilots to identify regional landing fields.
