This is a completed CPT flight log of about 180pp with 100 completed. The trainee was Robert Forand of Middlebury College with flight training in Bristol, Vermont. Forand had the typical problems in early training (weak stomach, tense) but soloed after about 8 hours. His performance was up-and-down and after about 25 hours his instructor wrote: "Sometimes I think he couldn't land an autogiro". Finally at about 34 hours he passes the course. The CPT program operated from 1938 to 1944 and was critical in WWII as it produced thousands of pilots for the military, many of whom became famous. Good vintage condition. A fascinating peek at one student's progress through this program.
