Original 10x7" b&w photo with text in negative: "Ashburn Field Aerial Circus". A variety of military aircraft types shown parked neatly in front of a hangar, including one Keystone bomber. The aerial circus was like our current day air show; a means to showcase aviation to the public. Ashburn Field was the first airport to serve Chicago and existed from 1916 to 1939. Very good; some remnants of album pages on reverse.
