1912 Zeppelin III Vasculum (Botanist Container)

This is a 15" long by 4.75" diameter tin plated, airship-shaped container used by botanists to collect specimens. It has a hinged door upon which is stamped "ZEPPELIN III". Likely this was produced in the early days of "Zeppelin Mania" in Germany when they were justifiably proud of their significant progress in large airships (I have pictures of several others with similar motifs). This is an airship association item; not one carried on an airship.
