Very early pasted together color card, about 4 x 7".  Image of Princess Victoria (1819-1901) is pasted over the balloon envelope, suspension lines are hand-drawn, pasted on balloon gondola has the British flag on the right and flag with "Victoria" on the left.  Below is the text "The Air Apparent" with Air crossed out and Heir replacing.  Victoria became Queen in 1837 so this is likely about 1835.  Card is contained in a display with handmade matt and descriptive text pasted with cellophane tape above and below (not affecting card).  Card is affixed with some ancient tape on the reverse which is easily removed and does not affect the card obverse.  Fair-good original condition, especially for an item about 185 years old.
