Press Photo of Early French Maneuvers, Bleriot Against Machinegun - 1910

Original vintage French press photo, 5x7", b&w.  Handwritten strip pasted to bottom margin (and repeated on reverse in rubber stamp) reads: "Lt. Bellanger on reconnaissance in his Bleriot monoplane is attacked by infantry machinegun".  Rubber stamp date just above the strip is 16 Sep 1910.  This is a very early record of aerial observation, well before WWI.  Excellent condition; French press agency rubber stamp on the back.
