Press release titled: "Nationally Known Aviatrix Strews Roses Over Clover Field". Original vintage 6.5 x 8.5" b&w press photo showing Gladys Roy astride her JN-4D stunt plane fuselage just behind the rear cockpit. She had a striking career from 1920 to 1927 as a parachute jumper, wing walker and movie actress. Gladys' stunts included playing tennis on the upper wing, walking blindfold and dancing the Charleston. Her parachute jumps included a claimed low-level record and one from 17,000 feet. Unfortunately she perished by accidentally walking into a spinning propeller in 1927 (ugh!). Photo condition is excellent.
