WWII Bomber Curiosity

SKU: 22-MISC-2

Circular molded plastic disc with rotating metal reverse having pin attachment, 2" diameter.  Aircraft in center appears to be a B-17.  Rectangular window below has text beside: "BLUE-fair, PINK-rain, PURPLE-cloudy".  Clearly the window had some sort of barometric indicator telling the weather.  At the top is a circular window with four different sized circular holes that can be rotated.  Each is calibrated with "10,000 ft (smallest hole)/5000 ft/2000 ft/1000ft (largest hole)".  Obviously meant to place an aircraft in the sky within the window to approximate the distance from the observer.  Very good; weather window not operable (no surprise).  This is a new one on me.  May even be a cereal box incentive.
