     A 7x7" paper folder with photo of the first man in space, Yuri Gagarin, and Russian text.  Inside is a 7" long-play record on light weight vinyl. Flap holding record seems to have 7 tracks listed.  Again, Russian text escapes me!  Likely a souvenir of this famous Russian astronaut who died in a MiG 15 crash in 1968. As new condition.

  • Monkeys in Space - 1962 NASA Balloon Flight Photo

     Press photo, b & w, 8x10".  Image of two monkeys inside a spherical balloon gondola.  Reverse has several press stamps and a pasted-on clipping of the AP wirephoto.  I believe this to be the Aug 1, 1962 NASA test using a 380' high balloon flying to 128,000 ft from Goose Bay, Labrador to Edmunton, Alberta.  Photo is very good; some toning on the reverse.

    Soft cover 8 1/2 x 11" booklet: "SYMPOSIUM:  Flight Test Results Pertaining to the Space Shuttlecraft".  NASA Flight Research Center, June 30, 1972.  Hardcopy of the slides presented at this symposium.  74pp, 1-2 slide copies on each page; some are photos, others are tables and charts.  Booklet begins with the program schedule, then results and pictures of the M2-F3, X-24A and HL-10 lifting bodies.  Booklet concludes with information on dead-stick landings of the F-111, F-104 and B-52 as examples of the flight path of the lifting body craft.  Good condition, ink name at top of front cover, pencil annotations on some pages obviously made by a symposium attendee.

    Total of 27 self-adhesive decals for the Space Shuttle, Space Station and several misc.  Each as new, about 3-5" in size, all different.  Missions are Challenger (4), Columbia (6), Discovery (2), Spacelab (3).  Others name the crew but not the specific Shuttle.  Likely these were collected at launch.  Sold as a lot; will not separate.
