    SKU: 21-MISC-22

Small, colorful leaflet, 6x7", urging purchase of War Bonds on "Liberty Day", October 12, 1918.  At the bottom:  "This leaflet was dropped from an aeroplane, October 12, 1918"  Small 3-hole punched on right margin, small tears adn chips on edges not affecting image.  About fair condition (no surprise; I would be chipped and torn if dropped from and aeroplane w/o parachute, too!)   (4)

  • Omaha Aero Congress Broadside - 1921

    SKU: 21-AR-12

Large 11x22" advertising piece for the November 3-5, 1921 Omaha Aero Congress.  Folded laterally three-times, photo collage top half followed by an extensive description of Omaha aviation interest and the various events.  Would frame nicely.  About fair because of frail folds and edge bumps.  This is the only one of these I have encountered. (Note:  because of scanner limitations, the bottom 20% is not shown)

  • WWI Poster Painting on Board

    SKU: 21-POST-48

Painting on masonite of a very rare WWI poster.  Very large 48"x60" size.  It's possible this was an artist proof for the poster or done later (more likely).  Some mounting holes along the top margin and some discoloring along the far left edge; else very good.  This is not an amateurish image but a very professional painting.  Quite heavy and it must be picked-up...shipping would be prohibitive, I think; or I might consider some delivery within Michigan or surrounds.

  • Bell Aircraft Union Organizing Broadside - circa 1945

    SKU: 21-MISC-21

Interesting 8.5x11" flyer urging Bell Aircraft Ordnance, Burlington, Vermont, employees to a union organizing meeting.  Date of the meeting was Nov 7th, year not stated but likely late WWII because of language in the text about "... when they do come back home..."  Lots of inflamatory text about greedy employers, etc.  Printed on newsprint so  likely not many of these survived.  Along with this broadside is a parking diagram that came in the same mailing to employees.  Very good condition.

  • Rare Farre Litho of Guynemer - 1917

    SKU: 21-F-1

Original large 11 x 17" sepia toned lithograph by famous WWI French Artist Henri' Farre.  Carries the French Army Museum stamp in the lower right.  Signed by Farre in pencil to the left of the stamp with crude translation "Hope of the Artist - H. Farre".  Framed, matted and under plexiglas.  Very good (light spot in photo is glare, not a fault).  These seldom come on the market and if they do it's at prices over $1000.
