Roscoe Turner in his fancy Civil Air Patrol colonel's uniform; one 8x10" of Roscoe inspecting an engine (likely on a Ford Tri-Motor) and another 5x7" portrait.  Not widely known is this famous air race pilot's work with the CAP later in life.   Excellent (photographer's rubber stamp on reverse of 8x10).

    Price: $20.00

  • 1912 Danish Helicopter Photo

    SKU: 21-P-423

Early b&w photo of Jacob Christian Ellehammer's helicopter which he flew sometime in 1912 in Denmark.  Postcard size of 5.5x3.5".  Apparently it actually flew but no more than 4 ft off the ground (looks to me like the lifting surfaces are too small).  Very good.

    Price: $20.00
  • Six (6) British Photos - circa 1930

    SKU: 21-P-422

High quality snapshots, 4.5x3.25", b&w.  Three show nice profiles of floatplanes, one shows an interesting nose-down crash in a harbor and two are of a parachutist launching from a floatplane wing.  Very good. (Only 4 of the 6 are shown here)

  • Eastern Air Transport Curtiss Condor Press Photo - circa 1930

    SKU: 21-P-416

Original 8x10 b&w photo a Curtiss Condor landing over parked cars, likely at an air show.  It appears that the billboard advertising EAT has been "photoshopped" (no such thing in the 1930's!) into the negative.  Press release from the airline on the reverse speaks to stats on this "Pride" of the Eastern Airlines Fleet, passengers transported, etc.  Very good.
