     Unused, original-gum stickers for Northwest, National and Northeast Airlines. Circular stickers from 2.5 to 3" diameter.  Northeast is 4x1.5". Excellent.

  • Very Large Modesto Air Show Sticker - mid 1930s

     Unusually large 8x6.5" original gum sticker.  The first Modesto Air Show celebrated the opening of the new airfield in 1930 but it was on Feb 22-23.  This show was in a later year but still pre- WWII.  Corners show remnants of celophane tape, else very good.

  • Sticker Lot of 6 - 1929 to 1940

     Unused, original gum stickers sizes from 1.5x2" to 2.5x3". Earliest is 1929 Buffalo Aviation Show, then 1937 National Aviation Show, 1938 Oregon National Airmail Week, and Wings Over America circa 1940.  Excellent.

  • Pancho Barnes Happy Bottom Riding Club Membership Card - circa 1950's

     Original membership card with printed signature of "Pancho Barnes".  Printed both sides as shown in the photo, 3.75x2.5".  Pancho was the granddaughter of Thaddeaus Lowe, Union Balloon Corp commander, and in her own right a famous aviator and owner of a well-known bar frequented by Hollywood celebrities and Air Force test pilots. She is featured in several books and movies.  This is an important relic of air racing and stunt flying in the "good old days".  Mint condition. SOLD

  • Vietnam-Era SAC Ashtray

     Circa early 1970's ashtray souvenir from Strategic Air Command at Andersen AFB, Guam.  This was the staging base for the magnificent B-52 bombing raids on North Vietnam.  Ashtray is ceramic with an overall size of 7" square and a depth of 1".  Excellent, glazing crackle as expected but not affecting the image.

  • Wheeler Field Hawaii Thanksgiving Menu 6th Pursuit Sqdn - 1938

     Elaborate 4 page menu, 11x8.5", heavy card stock.  Original 10x5" b&w photo pasted to front cover of unit personnel seated and standing in front of a Wheeler Field building.  Inside left is the menu (last item is "cigarettes"!), and inside right is a full roster of 6th Pursuit Sqdn personnel, both officers and enlisted.  At the bottom is another roster of the Hdq and Hdq Sqdn of the 18th Pursuit Group. On the back is a full page map of the Hawaiian Islands entitled "The Army and Navy in Hawaii".  About fair-good; typical creases as though folded for insertion in a uniform pocket.

  • WWII Royal Australian Air Force Pilot Kneeboard

     Unusual (and unused) vintage pilot's flight computer for use in a single seat aircraft.  Top aluminum cover has the classic rotating flight computer for time, distance, airspeed, etc.  Stamped at the top of the outside cover with "Ident No. G6B/145", " King's Crown and R.A.A.F." and "Serial Number WG/1652*". At the bottom is "Computer Navigational Mk.III.D."  Flip open the cover and you find the classic rotating drift track for displaying course.  At the side, lower right, is a knob that scrolls an inside moving airspeed graph.  Inside the open cover is a small notebook for recording flight data. The unit is very heavy (about 2.5 lb) and is unused including the notebook.  The entire unit is in excellent unused condition (one screw holding back leg contour bracket is missing but easily replaced)  SOLD

  • WWII USAAF Electric Heated Clothing Instructions - circa 1944

     Seldom seen tri-fold instruction sheet (5.5x9.5" closed, 16.5x9.5" open) printed both sides for the set of Electrically Heated Clothing, Army Air Forces Type F-3A. Opens with an illustration of the full set of components, then a listing of items, steps in preparing for flight, how to operate, warning to navigators and instructions for mounting adapter plugs. Included is a paper label which was inserted in the package containing the "Trousers; Flying, Electric".  This flight clothing set is very rare but if you happen to be lucky enough to have it in your collection, you really need this instruction sheet posted along side!  Very good condition.

  • WWI Pilot Photo & Frank Tallman Business Card

     Small 3x5" b&w photo of two WWI-era pilots in full flight gear.  Accompanying the photo is a business card of famous movie pilot Frank Tallman.  In 1961 Tallman formed Tallmantz Aviation with partner Paul Mantz.  The company provided flight scenes for many famous movies.  Mantz died in 1965 in the last scene of Flight of the Phoenix. Tallman died in a routine flight in 1978. Very good; no known link between the photo and business card except they were discovered together.
