• Pennsylvania Central Airlines (PCA) Presentation Certificate - 1946

     Large 13x17" certificate, framed.  Fancy color printing with caligraphy name "Milton G. Greenebaum", commisssioning him an honorary captain of the Capital Fleet.  Certificate is dated Oct 31, 1946.  Complete with corporate seal with 1936 date.  Nice image of a DC-4 at the top with PCA Pilot Wings below.  In the original wood frame (needs repainting; some paint wear).  PCA memorabilia is quite difficult tio find.  Some wrinkling at top of certificate; generally good condition.

     American Airlines knife, fork and spoon.  Each has the cast profile of an airliner with stamped "Flagship".  Fork and spoon marked "International Silver Co.", knife stamped "INSICO".  Knife has some dings top and bottom edges (must have been used as a hammer!); else good.  A classic set from times when good food and service could be found on passenger aircraft.

  • Original "Beer Day" Photo - April 7, 1933

     Original press photo, 9x7", b&w, showing cases of 3.2 beer being loaded on an American Airways plane in Chicago.  Even though prohibition was not officially ended until Dec 5, 1933, 3.2% beer became legal to drink at midnight, April 7, 1933.  This photo carries an Acme Newspictures press release on the reverse that speaks to feverish activity loading airplanes with beer for delivery to nearby cities.  Very good; one small margin tear and one corner fold.

     Original 8x10" b&w showing the Concorde taking off from Boston. She made it to Paris in 3 hr 9 min, was on the ground 71 min and returned to Boston in 3 hr 8 min.  Promotional text on a typed slip pasted to the reverse.  Very good; one small margin tear upper center.

  • Ryan M-1 Color Print - United Airlines Collector Series (1977)

    SKU: 21-P-109

     Original United Airlines print, 11x8.5" of the Ryan M-1 operated by Pacific Air Transport 1926-27.  PAT was a predecessor of United Airlines; only nine M-1's were built.  Print is accompanied by a book-mark sized description of the print with specifications of the M-1.  Good +, on heavy stock, some light toning at 3-hole acetate folder locations.

     Original 9x7" b&w press photo of Dornier skimming surface, presumably landing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Press release pasted on reverse speaks to Lufthansa expanding service to South America.  Release is dated 6-27-39.  Very good.
