     Six-page trifold (then folded again 3-times for mailing), 8.5x11", buff paper with brown type.  This is the Avro Avian manufactured by Whittelsey in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  The Avian was touted as the safest, most dependable training aircraft at the time.  Very good; folds and small paperclip rust on front cover.      "Dirty purple" transcription by Leo Brown of newspaper articles from the Memphis [Missouri] Democrat & Reveille.  Transcribed for the Scotland County Public Library in 1978.  53pp, 8.5x11", covers the period 1927-1929.  Included is a 1979 handwritten 4-page letter about many of the early aviation personalities surrounding the Pheasant.  Very good.      Factory manual for the E107A, E113, E113A, E113B and E113C engines while the company was quartered at Lunken Airport, Cincinnati.  132pp, mimeo, 8.5x11", illus, factory heavy paper cover with Aeronca decal on front.  Bosch and Stomberg factory flyers tipped in, linen fabric pieces found throughout as place holders.  Installation instructions, assembly, parts lists and prices, engineering drawings and complete aircraft fly-away price list in the back. Cover a bit soiled, contents excellent. SOLD

     Double-sided, 21.5x17", four-folded, supplement to Cleveland Modelmaking News, Vol 1, No 6. One side has very detailed and "colorful" plans, reverse has extensive printed instructions.  Very good; folds weak.  Would be wonderful if framed.

     Vintage 1927 original 12 page, 8x11" illustrated flyer.  Sections include the Vought Company, the Vought airplanes (specs and records), the O2U Corsair, General characteristics, Reviews, In Nicaragua with the U.S. Marines.  Unfortunately the bottom photograph on the back page has been clipped and is missing; thus the reduced price.  Otherwise very good.  SOLD

  • Early Casper Wyoming Flying School Letter & Envelope - 1920

    SKU: 21-MISC-53

     Stock Aviation and Training School had the Curtiss franchise for the Wyoming Territory.  Both the envelope and letter have the same photo of a Curtiss biplane.  The letter is handwritten in ink and the author speaks to getting cheated and seeking revenge!  The envelope was roughly opened at the right edge and the letter has a hole.  Otherwise good.
